A1 Restricted Licence
The A1 restricted licence course allows riders to ride a 125cc motorcycle with a power output not exceeding 14.6bhp.

You must be 17 years old or older and hold a full car or provisional motorcycle licence and must have passed the Motorcycle Theory Test.
Train and test on a 125cc motorcycle.


 
A2 Restricted Licence
The A2 course is available to anyone aged 19 years of age or over. On completion of the A2 course and relevant tests, the rider will be entitled to a full restricted motorcycle licence, allowing the rider to ride a motorcycle of any engine capacity which produces a maximum of 46.6bhp or has been restricted to 46.6bhp but is not derived from a motorcycle that has a greater power to whieght ratio greater than 2 to 1. 

You must hold a full car or provisional motorcycle licence and must have passed the Motorcycle Theory Test.
Train and test on a 500cc motorcycle.

Direct Access Unrestricted licence
The Direct Access course is available to anyone aged 24 or more, or anyone who has held a full A2 licence for 2 years or more. On completion of the Direct Access course and relevant tests, the rider will be entitled to a full motorcycle licence, allowing the rider to ride a motorcycle of any engine capacity and power.

You must hold a full car or provisional motorcycle licence and must have passed the Motorcycle Theory Test.
